The GUY WIRE INSTALLATION KIT is ideal for supporting extended or unsteady Flue systems once they pass through the roof. All components are manufactured from galvanised steel and the kit contains enough parts to make 3 x 6.5m long supporting wires. The wire rope itself is constructed from 3mm diameter galvanised steel and consists of 6 twisted sets of 12 strands making it ideal for straining / guy wires. 

This package contains:

• 1 x roll 20m 3mm galvanised steel wire rope
• 6 x Thimble 3mm galvanised steel
• 6 x D-shackle 5mm galvanised
• 3 x Thread tensioner m6 hook eye galvanised
• 12 x wire clamp 3mm galvanised steel

STEP 1. Secure the GUY WIRE BRACKET (not supplied) to your chimney.

STEP 2. Pass the 3mm Wire Rope through the Wire Rope Grip to create loop.

STEP 3. Insert the Thimble inside the loop and tighten the Wire Rope Grip using the nuts until the Thimble is secure.

STEP 4. Unscrew the D-Shackle and pass through the loop.

STEP 5. Attach the Barrel Strainer via the EYE by passing through the threaded bar component of the D-Shackle.

STEP 6. Secure the Hook and Eye Strainers to either bolts or screws that have been secured into masonry.
